Archival and Safe Storage:
You have created beautiful acid-free scrapbooks to safely display and store your photos and memories. You have protected your pictures. How will you protect your scrapbooks? We then suggest that you either put the back-up CD/DVD in a fire safe box, give them to a friend to hold outside your home, or use a safety deposit box.
Our passion for providing a method for archiving scrapbooks stems from two personal experiences: A close friend of ours was only able to save her family and one of her scrapbooks in Hurricane Katrina. Linda, co-founder of Harbor Scrapbooking, lost all of her scrapbooks and photographs along with 150 years worth of genealogy information in a house fire.

Preserve older family albums and distribute copies to family members:
Every family has one or two older family albums or heritage pictures that are coveted by all the family members. Sometimes these albums can even cause a little family discord. Harbor Scrapbooking’s solution is to scan and reprint copies of these albums. Usually these albums are deteriorating and pictures are fading. If these albums are allowed to continue to deteriorate, there won’t be any family images to fight over anymore. We have a method for removing the yellowed background caused by acidic glue and air. These pages can have a newer clean look to them. See sample here. Even if you just have a box of loose heritage family pictures, get them scanned, reprinted and archived for safekeeping. Our process allows your family to safely archive these precious family images for another 200 years.

Divide & Conquer the scrapbooking effort with relatives who already scrapbook:
Do you have a mother, sister, sister-in-law, or friend who loves to scrapbook too? Here is an idea many of our customers use… DIVIDE & CONQUER. If you and your sister are at the SAME parties, at the same set of holidays, why not split the work? For the holidays, one sister can scrapbook the family Christmas while the other scrapbooks Thanksgiving. Do you go on vacation with the same set of friends every year? Does your friend scrapbook? You both can take pictures and then assign each of you to scrapbook different portions of the trip. Then you can use Harbor Scrapbooking's scan and print services to make copies and exchange your work. You do plenty of custom scrapbooking though out the year. This great little short cut will really speed up your ability to complete more scrapbook pages and be even more creative in other events that are not shared by your scrapbooking relative. Re-size photos to better fit your layout:
We can also resize and reprint your photos. Sometimes a layout needs a 5 x 7 when you only have a 4 x 6. Sometimes it might be nice to make a set of pictures a little more uniform. If you have pictures all taken from different distances, we can help you scan in and enlarge or shrink images to better fit your layout design.
